Sitting idle in fantasy, perspective heals, my thoughts renewed
Waiting in a world inside my head just searching for a point of view
A whisper on the wind and I’m in
Diving through the pane of glass
And hours pass, I start anew

Here we are, set apart by the times again
I turn the wheel, head for home
Gone like a wisp in the wind
This hollow age pulls the heart, but I know the sun will shine
Longing cries draw me back inside
To the silent window

A single droplet falls just out of sight
The sound is lost within the frame
It must be that time of day, the light reflects so sharply
When you’re not at play
Patterns formed from clouds morph the colours
I drift to reverie
A knock comes from the door, and I soar
Lost inside the aperture
And hours pass, I start anew

Here we are, set apart by the times again
I turn the wheel, head for home

The dust of sleepless night streaks my vision
I turn inside to mask the burn
Searching for some insight in the glass, no answer comes when beckoned forth
A flash of perfect light and I strike
Headlong for the silent pool
